1. Scope of Application

These general terms and conditions apply to all reservations, agreements, and services offered by Hotel Mardaga, including accommodation, breakfast, restaurant visits, events, and venue rental. By making a reservation or using our services, the guest acknowledges and accepts these terms and conditions.


2. Reservations

2.1. A reservation is only final after written or email confirmation from Hotel Mardaga.
2.2. For certain reservations, a deposit or credit card guarantee may be required.
2.3. The guest is responsible for providing accurate information when booking.


3. Cancellation and Modification

3.1. Cancellations must be made in writing or by email.
3.2. Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Up to 48 hours before arrival: free cancellation.

  • Within 48 hours before arrival or in case of no-show: 100% of the first night will be charged.
    3.3. For group reservations (more than 5 rooms) or events, a cancellation period of 7 days before arrival applies.
    3.4. Hotel Mardaga reserves the right to cancel or reschedule reservations in case of force majeure (such as fire, power outage, pandemic, or other unforeseen circumstances) without compensation.


4. Arrival and Departure

4.1. Check-in from 3:00 p.m.; check-out until 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise agreed.
4.2. Early check-in or late check-out is only possible with prior approval and may incur additional charges.
4.3. In case of a no-show (guest fails to arrive without notice), the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation and charge the full amount.


5. Rates and Payment

5.1. All prices are in euros (€) and include VAT, unless otherwise stated.
5.2. Additional services (such as minibar or restaurant consumption) are charged separately.
5.3. Payment is due upon check-out, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
5.4. The hotel accepts cash, credit cards, and electronic payments.
5.5. Late payments are subject to interest of 1% per month and a fixed compensation of 10% with a minimum of €50.


6. Liability

6.1. Hotel Mardaga is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings unless gross negligence by the hotel is proven.
6.2. Guests are liable for any damage caused to rooms, furniture, or other hotel property during their stay.
6.3. Pets are only allowed with prior approval and under the owner’s responsibility, at a supplement of €25 per day.


7. Use of Facilities

7.1. Guests must comply with the hotel’s house rules.
7.2. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor areas, in accordance with Belgian law.
7.3. The hotel reserves the right to refuse or remove guests who disturb order or safety, without refund.


8. Events and Venue Rental

8.1. Events and venue rentals are subject to a separate quotation or contract with specific payment and cancellation terms.
8.2. Hotel Mardaga reserves the right to refuse or terminate an event in case of force majeure or breach of order and safety.


9. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure (such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government measures), Hotel Mardaga may suspend or cancel services without compensation.


10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

All disputes are governed by Belgian law. Only the courts of the judicial district of Limburg have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.


11. Data Protection

Hotel Mardaga processes personal data in accordance with applicable GDPR legislation. More information can be found in our privacy policy on the website.
